John Mayer won me over during ACL 2006. His intro to Believe that night from his album Continuum was nothing short of breath taking and his entire concert (which ran way into Van Morrison’s set) was spectacular.

If you cannot tell, John Mayer, like John Legend (pattern here?), are serious man-crushes of mine after seeing their live performances. While Legend sticks to his music but just adds more power to his singing, Mayer in concert is completely different then listening to his albums. He unleashes his amazing blues guitar skillz and throws a lot of soul into his music. Hopefully this performance from the Conan O’Brien show will demonstrate what I’m talking about. Steve Jordan tears it up on drums as well. Awesome performance overall.
