This is a true story that happened to me about two hours ago. As of this moment, I am ashamed to be an American. If a society is judged on how it treats its poor, we would be at the bottom. We live in one of the richest countries on the planet… I am ashamed…. We should all be ashamed.

They didn’t realise this was the toughest creature ever to survive a hit-and-run.

Eight hours, two fuel stops, and 600 miles later they found the wild animal embedded in their front fender – and very much alive.
